Great bbq at a good price. Ribs, smoked sausage, and pulled pork are awesome. I only had their brisket once and it seemed dry. Maybe it was an off day for them; I’ll have to give it another try at some point.

We had dinner there, had some chicken wings and beef brisket. The beef brisket was excellent, tender and juicy. However the chicken wings were a little dry.The staff is very polite and accomodating.Prices are reasonable too.

I ordered 5 spicy chicken wings, and waited for 10 minutes for freshly made. I ate them right away. The wings were still hot, the batter was very crispy. The batter was really good, not too heavy or oily at all, but the meat was very salty and only salty, and dry and there was barely any juice coming out after a bite. I wouldn't recommend to get the wings.As mentioned in other reviews, the cashier was not helping much. They would not tell you if you didn't ask, even for the waiting time for the food, or if there is sauce provided. When no service is needed to provide, the cashier went back to its phone browsing right away.

Execution of the chicken and waffle was great. Nice crunchy exterior with juicy chicken underneath (bonus that it's boneless). Coleslaw was simple but tasty. Dirty fries were also delicious. Toppings added a nice flavour profile to the fries. Definitely would come back. Gets a little crammed when busy. Their washroom light didn't work while we were there, so my friend mentioned it to the staff. The staff didn't seem to care which was a bit bizarre. Worth the visit for the food but I would avoid the washroom.

To start this place is beautiful, it has old vibes type of house and the have a good patio on the side . I went around 10am on a Monday and it wasn’t full so we got a table right away . Service was quick and everyone was so friendly, and helpful. The menu is amazing , I didn’t find it too overwhelming or that maybe something was missing . Food was quick , and fresh , I just wished my fried chicken benny had a bit more of chicken as it was hard to find . They also offer a great selection of drinks too . I really enjoyed and I will definitely be back to try those famous pancakes !!

Friendly service, all of the pub favorites are available. Drinks are ice cold and nice selection of cocktails.If you want a table for four outside a 24 hour reservation is required.

Tried a few tiffin services, but this is the best tasting one and always fresh.

The food was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend got the fried chicken Benedict dish and I got the blueberry pancakes. Oh! And don’t even get me started on their crispy, flavourful home fries!We plan on going back to try more things on their menu and I’d definitely recommend anyone who’s interested in a modern-diner-style restaurant that has an endless amount of mouthwatering food.

I wish I could give 0 stars. The worst service I ever had in Montréal. Waiter switched my and a friends order and tried to blame us for it. I stood my ground and told him that we as the customers entrusted him to serve the correct order. He tried to argue otherwise. Manager came out and also tried to argue with me. She eventually gave me half of my original order. I asked for a to go bag and she (the manager) looked annoyed so she gave me a container with the wrong lid. I went back to ask for the correct lid and a bag. The food wasn’t even that good for them to be acting so aggressively. I left $0 in tip. I rate the food maybe 2/5 stars and the service a 0/5. There are much better places in Montréal, give this one a hard pass.

As lovers of Southern cooking and seafood, We knew we needed to check this place out.The dining room is very spacious and you do not feel confined or cloistered together.The menu has a lot of great southern inspired seafood items from cajun country including catfish, crawdads, crab, jambalaya, and much more.We enjoyed some cajun caesars for our cocktails. With the insanely large skewers.Meals ordered:Cajun Catfish – which is a wild caught catfish – and has a bit of a more gamey taste than the farm raised that you may be used to.Spicy Chicken and waffles – which was delightful – the spice was cut nicely by the delicious maple syrup.The Special – which was an oven baked salmon with hollandaise sauce, and grilled asparagus.A bowl of Seafood chowder was a must-try to get the full authentic experience. It was a large bowl filled with various seafood items, and served with jalapeno cornbread.The food was delicious – everything tasted great, was beautifully cooked, and well presented.The Prices: Prices range from $17-30 per meal – all very fair market value for the items. We truly enjoyed this dining experience at Sassafras Coastal Kitchen Southern Seafood restaurant. This is a lovely place to go for a good meal or for a special occasion. It’s not a cheap meal but it is a nice dining out experience.We will definitely be back – and try more items on their amazing menu.
